At Laceyfield, we believe in the power of pupil voice. Our Academy Parliament gives children a meaningful voice in the life of our school. It is
an important part of how we promote responsibility, respect and active participation within our community.
Each class elects a representative to join the Parliament. These pupils meet regularly with staff to discuss ideas, share feedback from their
classmates and help make decisions about school life. They represent the views of their peers and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to
be heard.
The Pupil Parliament plays a key role in:
– Improving the school environment
– Organising events and fundraising activities
– Contributing to school policies and initiatives
– Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
After each meeting, representatives report back to their classes so that all pupils remain informed and involved.
Through the Academy Parliament, our children develop confidence, leadership skills and a strong understanding of democracy. Most
importantly, they learn that their opinions matter and that they can make a positive difference in their school.
